SNOWBOARD WRAP INSTALLATION GUIDE
A proper install starts with prep. Take your time, follow the steps, and you’ll get a clean, dialed finish that lasts.
What You’ll Need:
• Warm soapy water(for initial cleaning)
• 70%–90% isopropyl rubbing alcohol(for final wipe-down)
• Clean microfiber cloths(lint-free is best)
• X-Acto or utility knife(for removing old decals and trimming edges)
• Hair dryer or heat gun(to seal edges and help the wrap conform)
• Scotch-Brite pad(to smooth minor imperfections)
• Optional but recommended: Goo Gone or Rapid Remover (for stubborn adhesive residue from previous wraps, stickers or decals.)
• Optional: grab a friend to lend a hand.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Pre-Clean Your Board Before bringing your board to your workstation, give it a thorough wash using warm soapy water. Remove all stickers, decals, and grip patches. The cleaner the surface, the better the bond.
Step 2: Remove BindingsRemove your bindings completely.Pro tip: Take a quick photo of your stance or mark screw positions with tape or pencil so reinstalling is easy later.
Step 3 (Optional): Surface PrepIf your board has rough protruding areas, scratches, or leftover adhesive: Lightly scuff the surface with a Scotch-Brite pad Use Goo Gone or Rapid Remover for tough residueBe gentle—this is about smoothing and cleaning, not sanding the board.
Step 4: Final CleanWipe the board once more with warm soapy water, then do a final wipe-down using rubbing alcohol and a clean microfiber cloth. This removes any remaining oils or residue and ensures maximum adhesion.
Step 5: Position the WrapLay the wrap over the board and align it down the center. Take your time here—good positioning makes everything easier. Use painter’s tape or light pressure to hold it in place while you line it up.
Step 6: Tack Down One EndPeel back about 1–2 inches of the backing from one end and fold it underneath. Press the exposed section firmly onto the board to anchor the wrap before moving forward.
Step 7: Apply the WrapSlowly peel the backing while smoothing the wrap from the center outward using a squeegee or credit card. Work in small sections and keep steady pressure.Tip: If air bubbles appear, gently release the trapped air with a pin and smooth the area back down.
Step 8: Trim & Seal Once fully applied: Trim excess material around the edges using a sharp blade. Gently heat the edges with a hair dryer or heat gun. Press along the perimeter to seal and confirm the wrap. Heat the total surface of the board with wrap on to give a final seal - do not over heat! Only a few seconds per section while using your squeegee to apply firm pressure. This final step helps lock everything in for a clean, seamless finish.
